You Don’t Need to Be An Artist To Paint With Chocolate

Come along by yourself or with a few friends and learn how to paint professional chocolate
moulds using naturally coloured cocoa butters. You don’t need any previous
experience, I’ll take you through step by step.

Play With Your Chocolate

Come alone and meet some new friends, or sign up with a few friends and build memories together. In this class you’ll get a fully hands on experience with hand painting chocolates that you’ll take away with you at the end.

What you’ll learn

Hand Painting

The main focus of this class is using naturally coloured cocoa butters to decorate professional chocolate moulds. When using chocolate of any kind, it needs to be tempered so we get that remarkable shine and marble like finish. I’ll teach you how to temper and you’ll do it yourself as well. Each student will colour their own moulds using a selection of design ideas I will provide, or you can make up your own!

Making Bonbons

After we paint the moulds, we’ll make hollow chocolate shells and then fill them with a delicious, silky praline – just how the professionals do it! You’ll take these chocolates away with you to share with friends or keep all to yourself.

No Prior Experience Needed

No previous chocolate experience is needed in order to attend this class and it’s open to people of any age. If you have young children, please email me about meeting their needs at [email protected] before signing up for the class.

The Local Area

The thriving town of Marlborough and the neighbouring pretty village of Manton are set in the stunning scenery of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There’s countryside within 10 minutes walk of the High Street in almost any direction, and downland, stone circles and ancient Savernake Forest are literally on our doorstep and the River Kennet chalk stream flows through the town centre.

The town has remained unspoiled, retaining its historic charm and is perfectly situated on the old Bath Road (built by order of the Kings of England) linking Bath to London – the Great West Way is a rich and enticing route for visitors to explore to this day. A favourite watering hole for coach & horses travellers in the past, Marlborough is a cosmopolitan destination today continuing to welcome visitors from all over the world.
